NEW YORK—Two years after leaving her role as global president, clients, at Porter Novelli, Julie Winskie has joined consulting giant Mercer as partner and global branding and communications leader.

Winskie spent 25 years with Porter Novelli before her abrupt departure in January of 2012. She led the brand marketing practice, the New York office, and the Americas region.

At the time of her departure, Winskie was part of the global leadership triumvirate alongside CEO Gary Stockman and global president Anthony Viceroy—both now departed. She was charged with heading global client relationships, which included HP, P&G and McDonald's.

During the time since her departure, Winskie has been working as an independent consultant, “helping Fortune 500 companies design integrated reputation strategies that build passion with customers, employees, influencers and investors.”

Earlier in her career, she served as an account executive at Ruder Finn and was public relations director at The Carnegie Corporation of New York.
