MUMBAI—Genesis Burson-Marsteller and its client Medela, a breast pump and nursing accessories manufacturer, took home the Platinum award for best in show at the South Asia SABRE Awards dinner in Mumbai this evening, for a campaign that started a conversation about breastfeeding, built a community of working mothers and resulted in a 50% increase in the sale of breast pumps.



It was a good night for Adfactors, Avian Media and Text 100 also—each of them took home four trophies, respectively, for their work. There were three wins each for Edelman, Genesis B-M, and Value 360.

The Medela “Back to Work” campaign beat four other strong finalists to take home the Platinum award, in order:
2. Savlon Healthy Hands Chalk Sticks, from ITC Savlon and PR Pundit;
3. Mirinda: Release the pressure, from PepsiCo with Edelman India;
4. Braving the tsunami of demonetization, from State Bank of India and Adfactors PR; and
5. #ChangiBarepackers, from Changi Airport Group with MSLGroup India.

The prestigious CEO of the Year honour was awarded to State Bank of India chairperson Arundhati Bhattacharya, who led the bank through demonetization, while Paytm was named Company of the Year.

Ford India president and MD Anurag Mehrotra was the inaugural recipient of the South Asia Individual Achievement SABRE, in recognition of his rise from PR professional to business leader.
