NEW YORK — Four global agencies — Finn Partners, fischerAppelt, SPRG, and Adfactors PR — and the Future Communicators Foundation have launched a scholarship program focused on social justice, sustainability and civil society communications.

Each of the agencies has committed to providing $10,000 in scholarships over the next four years, which will be available at partner universities yet to be determined. The money will fund communications education, tools, and training for students, including professional development.

The scholarship program calls on students to develop a mock campaign addressing pressing social justice issues and provides recipients with international networking through its global cohort, executive-level mentoring, and training opportunities with internships. Senior undergraduates in departments and programs focused on communications, public relations, and journalism will be eligible to apply.

The Future Communicators Foundation also provides scholarships through its own annual program, with a focus on young scholars and aspiring professionals in developing countries and underserved communities. Those scholarships are funded through a $100,000 donation from founder Allard W. van Veen.

"We are very pleased to add our support for the Future Communicators Scholarships,” said Finn Partners CEO Peter Finn, a member of the Future Communicators Foundation board. “Finn Partners has a long history of supporting young people interested in entering the PR field. We have scholarship programs, mentoring programs for students interested in PR, internships, and we just launched an ambitious new Excelerator Program whose goal is to bring a minimum of one hundred young people into the PR agency world each year.”
