NEW YORK –Hill+Knowlton Strategies has created a new global intelligence and technology unit bolstering its data and analytics offering.

Led by global chief technology officer Grant Toups, the Intelligence + Technology group leverages deep data and analytics expertise with technology to help businesses and brands overcome complex challenges, H+K said.

The group includes more than 50 data and tech leaders from around the world as well as a team of client advisors.

New global leaders include Allison Spray, who has been named global head, intel + tech innovation. Spray, who will retain her existing role leading research and data intelligence in the UK, will focus on the research and development of new solutions for emerging client needs.

Elliott Gauthier has been appointed global head, intel + tech products and services. Gauthier will lead efforts to scale and commercialize data-led solutions for the firm’s global client base while will continuing to lead research and data intelligence operations in Canada.

H+K has also struck a partnership with machine learning company Pendulum Intelligence aimed at developing products and services that address risk management of clients. The agency has rolled out the first codeveloped tool, H+K Sonar, to help clients combat reputational threats tied to disinformation.
