SAN FRANCISCO — Hotwire has promoted Heather Craft to CEO of North America.

Craft has been sharing the role with Laura Macdonald since June 2021, when they both were named co-presidents.

“Heather’s leadership and vision for Hotwire North America has led to it being the growth engine for all of Hotwire,” said Global CEO Heather Kernahan. “I’m excited about what’s next for the North America team under her leadership as we continue to build our reputation and brand within the tech and innovation industry.”

Macdonald, meantime, will be leading Hotwire’s new global growth team as chief growth officer. The new team will be responsible for the expansion of the agency’s services and global growth.

Said Kernahan, “Laura has a fantastic track record of success in both growing client relationships and leading award-winning work. In her 12+ years with Hotwire, she has become a strategic partner to ambitious global tech brands, working with marketing and communications leaders to understand their business needs and help them achieve their goals, with experience working in London, Sydney, and across the US with a strong understanding of cultures and business around the world. She has mobilized teams to add strategic brands to our client roster, identified and launched new services and I am confident she will lead us to the next stage of success in this new role.”

Craft and Macdonald’s new appointments come amidst other leadership changes at the firm.

Those include Matt Oakley, head of data & insight, joining the new global growth team as global head of data and analytics. Head of digital commerce Christa Conte is now executive VP, head of client services for North America. Additionally, Annemarie Anaya has been promoted to Commercial Finance Director for North America.
