INCHEON, KOREA--Hill+Knowlton Strategies has been named the official global PR agency for the 2014 Incheon Asian Games by the Incheon Asian Games Organizing Committee (IAGOC).

The PR firm is charged with developing IAGOC's 'Cheer, Asia' marketing campaign, which aims to combine athletics and contemporary Korean pop culture across 19 countries in the region, including six key cities: Guangzhou, Singapore, Tokyo, New Delhi, Dubai and Almaty.

H+K's appointment is unsurprising, given the firm's experience of major sporting events.  It was the international PR agency for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and is currently working with the 2012 London Olympic Games. H+K also supported bids for Pyeongchang for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games and Daegu for the 2011 IAAF World Championships.

Young-soo Kim, President of IAGOC said: “With the appointment of H+K Strategies as our official global PR agency, the pan-Asia campaign to promote the Incheon Asian Games will make a great impact and inspire people from everywhere in Asia to join in our festivities.”
