SAN FRANCISCO —Veteran biopharmaceutical executive Jonathan Peacock and digital marketing expert George Gallate have joined W2O’s board of directors. Peacock has held global chief financial officer roles at Novartis and Amgen, as well as leadership positions in strategy and corporate finance at McKinsey & Company and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Gallate is rejoining the W2O board of directors. He is the former global CEO and then chairman of digital marketing agency giant, Havas Digital.
NEW YORK — The PR Council has hired Eddy Olean and Armoni Boone as the organization’s new digital & social media manager and member relations coordinator respectively. Prior to joining the PRC, Olean (pictured) spent two years as the marketing manager at ICM Partners in their lectures department. Boone was a digital media intern for Bloomberg LP, where he did analysis and research for the Twitter-based news station, TicToc.
TORONTO — Public relations firm NordströmMatte has relaunched under the new name The NBP Group as part of an extensive rebranding initiative under the sole ownership of Dani Matte. The company will continue to offer PR, branding, management and marketing services to clients on a global scale, with new initiatives focused on the evolving social media interface with content creation. The rebranding coincides with recent changes to the company’s internal structure following the departure of previous partner, Anya Nordström, earlier this year.
MONTREAL — Stock image provider Unsplash has launched a digital advertising arm, which allows brands to curate and share native content with Unsplash's 300 million monthly users. Unsplash works with companies to publish branded images, align the photos with relevant search terms, and naturally syndicate the images to Unsplash’s user-base of creators in every single country. Images will be spread across the Unsplash website and over 1,400 of the internet’s most popular platforms, allowing brands to dominate the internet with earned media and authentically influence brand adoption at scale.
