LIMA—Inforpress, a public relations leader in the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking worlds, has consolidated its presence in Latin America by opening an office in Lima. The Peruvian market is the firm’s third in the region, after openings in Colombia (offices in Santafé de Bogotá and Medellín) and Brazil (Río de Janeiro) in recent years.
The office in Lima, led by Elena García, one of the firm’s most experienced executives. She has worked at Infopress for 12 years and is a specialist in consumer products, having worked with clients such as BP, Reebok, Suavinex, OAMI, Grefusa, HERO Baby, Lubasa and Profiltek.
Núria Vilanova, president of Inforpress, says: “Communication has changed. Since the Internet boomed, the boundaries of communication are no longer set by countries, but by languages. At Inforpress we believe that companies will tend to divert their investments and strategies in communication in terms of languages, and not of nations. That is why we have boosted our expansion plans in Latin America.”
The choice of Peru is also a response to the important economic development that the country as experienced in this recent years, Vilanova says. “The Andean nation has become one of the new primary destinations for Spanish investment, as well as one of the most attractive and friendly places in the region for new businesses and ventures. The dynamism of Peru´s economy places it directly at the top of the region´s economic growth.”
