NEW YORK—Ketchum and its clients will walk away with 13 Innovation (IN2) SABREs in May, when the trophies are presented during our Innovation SABRE Awards ceremony on May 2.

The Omnicom-owned will take home more trophies than any other agency, with its 13 wins almost twice the number of its closest competitors, California independent Bospar and Publicis Groupe’s MSL, which will win seven trophies apiece for their client work. Other multiple winners include ICF Next and Zeno Group (four each) and BCW, Day One Agency, and Canada’s Veritas (three each).

Five of the winning campaigns have been nominated for the Platinum Innovation SABRE, which recognizes the best campaign for the year. They are:

  • #TapeOutHate — Budweiser, Labatt Breweries of Canada with Veritas
  • Doritos + Stranger Things: “Live From The Upside Down” — Frito-Lay North America with Ketchum, OMD, Observatory and ShakerMaker
  • Gingerbread Dive Bars — Miller High Life with ICF Next
One Sequential Step at a Time from Tip to Grip — Tampax (Procter & Gamble) with MSL
  • The Hero Wagon — Radio Flyer with Current Global

The Platinum winner will be announced at the awards ceremony.

“This year’s Innovation SABREs, revised to focus on disruptive technologies, diversity and inclusion, disinformation and many of the other developments that are transforming the practice of public relations, generated hundreds of entries, showcasing the incredible breadth of activity PR people are undertaking for their clients,” said Paul Holmes, who chaired the IN2 SABRE judges.

“The winners, who will be honored during PRovoke's North American Summit in May, crafted exceptional creative content and generated significant business results.”

On the client side, Frito-Lay has won five IN2 SABREs, with Anheuser-Busch picking up four trophies, and Arby’s, Miller, and Procter & Gamble three apiece.

For the first time, PRovoke's North American Summit will be held at the Whitby Hotel in New York, on the same day as the SABRE Awards dinner, which will take place once again at Cipriani on 42nd Street. Tickets for both the Summit (including the presentation of the Innovation SABREs) are on sale now. Evening SABRE Tickets will go on sale on March 28.
