WASHINGTON — Powell Tate, Weber Shandwick Collective’s public affairs unit, has named Lauren DiPaola as executive VP of healthcare communications planning.

Based in Washington, DiPaola will focus on scaling a healthcare center of excellence for earned-first digital strategies, working closely with experts across social and emerging platforms. She’ll also lead the planning and execution of healthcare client programs spanning earned, paid and owned media to drive health policy and advocacy outcomes. 

Most recently, DiPaola led the digital marketing operations at PhRMA, the Washington-based biopharmaceutical trade association, where she led the creation advocacy focused MarTech strategy. Prior to her time at PhRMA, she was a senior VP at Powell Tate where she designed integrated marketing campaigns.
