SINGAPORE — Lee Nugent has been named Asia-Pacific MD of strategy and consulting at Text 100, after departing his role as Nelson Bostock CEO last year.

Nugent, who spent 20 years with Nelson Bostock, will relocate to Singapore this summer. His arrival at Text follows the departure of Asia-Pacific MD of strategy Paul Mottram, who has joined Allison+Partners.

Charged with accelerating the agency's growth in integrated consulting, Nugent will report to Text 100 regional director Anne Costello.

"The UK market in many respects is ahead of Asia in terms of agency evolution and broader comms-led, marketing consultancy that clients are increasingly looking for," said Costello. "Lee’s experience will help us accelerate our own change and provide best practice consulting to our clients."

Following the merger with sibling agency Bite in Asia-Pacific, Text 100 now numbers more than 300 consultants in the region, with close to 50% of its revenues now coming from content, social, search and email marketing.

"When I left my last position, I said I was looking for a new and different challenge," said Nugent. "I wanted to continue to shape and build teams and deliver next-generation communications programmes for clients. Text100 has presented me with the perfect opportunity to realise this goal."
