NEW YORK, March 29—Weber Shandwick has promoted Réne Mack to president of travel marketing for North America. Mack has been with BSMG Worldwide, which merged with Weber Shandwick last year, for six years. In his new position, he will work to build travel-related marketing business across the Weber Shandwick North American network. He reports to Andy Polansky, president and chief operating officer for the eastern region and chairman of global practice areas.
Weber Shandwick’s travel practice includes such travel brands as The Islands Of The Bahamas, Moroccan Tourist Authority, Marriott International, Royal Caribbean International, Hilton Head Island, Singapore Airlines and Lindblad Expeditions.
Mack will also serve as executive vice president and general manager of the New York consumer, lifestyle and travel marketing group, working closely with Gail Heimann, co-president of Weber Shandwick’s consumer practice.
