LONDON—US mobile technology company InterDigital has handed international PR duties to CCgroup, after previously working with Lewis PR.
CCgroup secures the business, which is based in the UK, without a pitch. The firm is charged with helping to build InterDigital's global repuation for innovation, via thought leadership content that focuses on the company's research efforts and solutions.
Since 2000, InterDigital has spent close to $1bn on technology research and development, and is now focused on such areas as Internet of Things, the path to 5G technology and the significance of maintaining clear commitment to open standards.
"InterDigital has always been deep-rooted in innovative and evolving technology,” said Patrick Van de Wille, chief communications officer at InterDigital. "CCgroup understands the important role that InterDigital plays in the market, and the pivotal importance of core research in ensuring significant opportunities such as 5G and the Internet of Things all reach their full potential."
Founded in 1972, InterDigital develops wireless technologies for mobile devices, networks and services.
