CHICAGO — Jody Moore, most recently Molson Coors' internal comms leader, has joined Spool as people and operations head.

In the newly created senior VP role, Moore will oversee all people and operations functions, as well as serve as a senior strategist for Spool’s corporate practice.

Moore brings more than 20 years of internal and external experience to the role, having worked both in-house and for agencies.

She served as Molson Coors’ internal communications director for the past six years. Her departure from the brewer comes roughly a month after former comms head Pete Marino, who had been leading the brewer’s portfolio of emerging products, announced his exit amid corporate restructuring.

Moore previously was with Kraft Heinz, where she led comms for the company’s U.S. cheese & dairy, foodservice and meat business units. Earlier in her career, Moore spent nine years as an Olson (now ICFNext) VP.

“Having worked with Jody for some of the most formative years of my career, I couldn’t be more excited to have her join Spool and share her experiences and expertise with our incredible team,” said founder and CEO Catherine Merritt. “Jody’s people-first passion along with her attention to process and understanding how operations support our clients, and vice versa, is the perfect addition to where Spool is today and where we’re going.”
