JAKARTA – Southeast Asian consultancy Mutant has appointed industry veteran Tanya Tresnasari to spearhead its expansion into Indonesia.

Tresnasari will be tasked with launching the agency in Indonesia. As country manager, she will oversee strategic campaigns across PR, content, social media and branding.

She will be joined in the new venture by Gabriela Gunawan, previously PR manager at Golin Jakarta and Weber Shandwick.

Tresnasari joins Mutant from her previous dual role as GM of Golin Jakarta and Weber Shandwick Indonesia where she was instrumental in diversifying the agency’s roster with clients including Sanofi, MSD, Clubhouse, Linktree, Shell and Hyundai.

She comes to Mutant having notched up more than 20 years in the industry, including as associate director of Fortune PR and corporate marketing manager at healthy lifestyle brand OSIM. Her areas of expertise span healthcare, automotive, FMCG and airlines.

Tresnasari said: ‘Mutant is constantly evolving. I’m excited to bring the agency’s blended PR, content, social and branding approach and adapt it for clients locally.

‘With the addition of new hires, Mutant Indonesia has already hit the ground running, and I look forward to welcoming and driving real business outcomes for clients.’

Mutant’s expansion into Indonesia comes after a successful decade in Singapore and robust growth in Malaysia since its launch in 2019.

Founder and CEO Joseph Barratt said: ‘Even as global markets show some uncertainties, the fundamentals in Asia remain strong, and this is especially true in Indonesia.

‘It’s an exciting time to enter the market and I can’t think of anyone better than Tanya to lead us through this and pave the way for Mutant’s next chapter.’
