YOKOHAMA—Nissan has named new corporate communications leadership, with  Microsoft's Jonathan Adashek arriving to become global VP of communications and chief communications officer at the automaker's HQ in Yokohama, Japan.

In addition, Nissan has hired former EE comms director Stuart Jackson to lead comms in Europe, based in Montigny, France.

Adashek replaces Jeff Kuhlman, who is returning to the US for family reasons, according to a Nissan statement. Jackson, meanwhile, takes on a role that was previously occupied by Matthew de la Haye, who departed the company earlier this year.

Adashek spent almost four years at Microsoft as GM of strategy and communications. He Prior to that he worked for more than six years at Edelman. At Nissan, he is charged with overseeing corporate communications, product communications and internal communications.

Jackson quit EE in 2014 and launched his own consultancy, Up Communications, which merged with Home Office PR earlier this year.

David Reuter remains VP of corporate communications for Nissan in North America. Reuter joined Nissan in 2010 from Bentley.
