HONG KONG—Client-side speakers Paul Pei of Hong Kong’s Ocean Park and Anthony Rose (pictured) from multinational retail giant Walmart have joined the lineup for our Hong Kong ThinkTank Live event, which will be held on September 26 in conjunction with the second annual Asia-Pacific SABRE Awards dinner, at the Kowloon Shangri-La.

The TTL event will focus on The Age of Engagement, and Pei and Rose join previously announced speakers including David Brain of Edelman, Thomas Crampton of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, and Jon Wade of Weber Shandwick.

A graduate of the University of Denver, Pei has spent more than three decades in the hospitality industry. From 1972 to 2000, he held senior management positions as director of sales and marketing, executive assistant manager and resident manager with hotel management companies such as Westin Hotels, Shangri-La International Hotels & Resorts, and Beaufort Hotels.

In June 2000, he joined Ocean Park Hong Kong as executive director, sales and marketing, responsible for all aspects of the park’s sales and marketing programs— internal and external communications programmes, including promotions, advertising and public relations—and leads the Park’s corporate social responsibility efforts.

Rose leads the corporate affairs function for Walmart Asia based in Hong Kong. He has experience in executive communications, influencer marketing, crisis management, strategic media relations, employee communications, government relations, corporate social responsibility and sustainability. He will be discussing “The Power of Purpose: The Daddy’s Logic Story.”

Prior to joining Walmart in 2010, Rose held a range of corporate affairs and influencer marketing roles across Asia and North America with Procter & Gamble (1997-2010); Clea PR (1996-97), Glaxo (1993-96) and the Datamatics Group (1991-93).
