NEW YORK — Omnicom Public Relations Group has hired Michael Fleischer, most recently BCW’s Washington leader, as CEO of public affairs firm DDC.

Fleischer, who joined DDC in August, succeeds DDC founder B.R. McConnon, who plans to leave the firm later this month after 26 years. Fleischer reports to OPRG CEO Chris Foster.

Before joining DDC, Fleischer was president of BCW’s Washington office, as which he oversaw all client relationships, talent, growth strategy and financial management for BCW, lobbying firm Prime Policy Group and grassroots agency Direct Impact. Fleischer also served as president of Direct Impact during his decade long BCW career.

“I’ve known Michael professionally for more than a decade and I am pleased to welcome him to OPRG as CEO of DDC,” said Foster. “He has deep experience in the corporate and public affairs space, a proven record of driving agency growth, leading people and guiding clients. I look forward to DDC’s continued success under his leadership.”
