NEW YORK — Big Four accounting firm PwC is reviewing its US PR agency support, PRovoke Media has learned.

PRovoke Media understands that PwC — known for its consulting and advisory services — has already closed the first round of its pitch for the business, which is estimated to be worth in the low seven figures.

The firm currently works with Edelman. PwC declined comment.

The pitch comes roughly three years after PwC made major changes to its communications function, including hiring longtime staffer JC Lapierre as its first CCO.

At that time, the firm also put internal and external comms and marketing under one roof to create a communications function able to tell the company’s story more seamlessly to various audiences.
