BOSTON — Brodeur Partners has tapped Scott Beaudoin, most recently Fenton’s corporate & brand division head, to lead the agency’s new social purpose and sustainability practice, with a focus on B2B clients.

Beaudoin will work on developing and executing strategies to further social impact, sustainability and corporate purpose. Starting early next year, he also will launch research to benchmark the demand on B2B businesses to step up their efforts around purpose and sustainability, which typically lag behind those of consumer-focused companies.

“A lot of consumer businesses are well in on their journey to social purpose and sustainability … but it’s really starting to get interesting in the B2B space,” he said. Stakeholders in those companies, such as investors, are making decisions based on factors like supply chain and sustainability performance, he said.

Beaudoin joined Brodeur after two years with Fenton, where his worked focused on turning corporate CSR initiatives into action. Before that, he was with RF|Binder for less than two years, after eight years with MSL.

Brodeur global CEO Andrea Coville said: "In this new era of purpose, clients look to us for counsel to activate around social purpose and sustainability that will resonate against marketplace and stakeholder demands. Beaudoin has been a part of developing some of the most recognizable communications initiatives at the forefront of businesses’ role in society. His addition to the agency brings a powerful new dimension to our proprietary relevance offering."
