LONDON—Fashion public relations specialist Talk PR, part of the M&C Saatchi group, has acquired a majority interest in technology agency Beam, which will join Talk to form a new technology, innovation and play division from January 2012.
Talk Technology will be headed by Beam founder Jane Leah, whose experience includes campaigns for clients including Fujifilm, Griffin Technology, T3 magazine, Navman, IWantOneOfThose.com and Gocycle. The existing Beam team will join Leah and relocate to Talk's headquarters in the West End of London.
According Jane Boardman, CEO of Talk PR: "As the importance and relevance of technology continues to build across all sectors, we made a conscious decision to find a talented team that could form an intrinsic part of Talk PR’s offering, and would benefit our clients' businesses."
Beam Agency was launched in January 2004 and works with clients including Fujifilm, Griffin Technology and Red5.co.uk.
