LONDON—Tonic Life founders Scott Clark and Oliver Parsons have unveiled a new marketing services group, nine months after announcing their departure from Huntsworth Health.

The duo have launched SO What Global as a privately-held umbrella marketing services group for specialist agencies. The group launches with two agencies: sports firm SO Active, which has enlisted rugby star Matt Dawson as a founding partner, and SO Talented, which will focus on talent recruitment and reputation consultancy.

Clark and Parsons were two of the trio of founders that launched Tonic Life in 2004, before selling the healthcare firm to Huntsworth Health in 2009. Before leaving, Clark was Tonic Life CEO while Parsons served as group MD.

"Having Matt [Dawson] as part of our team is tremendous," says Clark, who takes on the group CEO at SO What. "Matt offers a wealth of insight from his career and relationships in world of sport, as well as a keen sense of what makes a successful business. He also has a passion for helping people to improve their health and lifestyle."

With the Rugby World Cup and 2016 Summer Olympics on the horizon, SO Active will aim to support companies that want to use the power of sport and activity to positively influence health and lifestyle actions. In particular, the firm is hoping that a focus on consumer behaviour change and wellness will distinguish it from other sports sponsorship and marketing agencies.
