CHICAGO — Golin has lost two senior leaders — Dave Duschene and Tim Peters — to Alpha IR, where they’ll serve as partners charged with building out the firm’s new subsidiary, Alpha Advisory Group.

Duschene has a long history with Golin, having worked for the firm a total of 18 years over two separate periods. For the last seven years, Duschene has been the agency’s issues & crisis team lead.  He has held a number of other roles including executive director of corporate communications, senior VP and VP.

Peters, meantime, has been with Golin for five-plus years, and was named US corporate practice leader for the Midwest and Western regions last July. He joined Golin in 2017 as the agency’s Chicago corporate practice leader from Edelman, where he was executive director of that firm’s corporate practice.

As Alpha Advisory Group leaders, Duschene and Peters are tasked with expanding parent company Alpha IR’s services for C-suite leaders through its new communications consultancy, Alpha Advisory Group.

“Today’s executives understand the need for a comprehensive approach to building corporate reputation through effective engagement, communications, and investment branding strategies,” said founder Alpha IR founder Chris Hodges. “I am excited to form Alpha Advisory Group to help our clients effectively bridge the gap between traditional IR and PR using our holistic approach to both.”

Hodges formed Alpha IR in 2012 and has spent his career guiding top executives at leading public companies through numerous transformations, transactions and crises. He has been a strategic communications consultant for two decades, having co-founded and sold Ashton Partners. He also held senior roles at Financial Dynamics and FTI Consulting before starting Alpha IR.
