NEW YORK — US financial services specialist Vested has purchased London agency Templars Communications, giving the firm its first overseas office.

Templars CEO and founder Kitty Parry will serve as Vested UK’s senior advisor. Her role will include executive-level counsel, as well as advising the firm on large-scale issues that impact financial services companies. A search is underway for a regional CEO.

According to a Vested statement, the opening of a UK office is the agency’s first step in growing a presence throughout Europe. Launching the effort in London gives the New York-based agency operations in two key financial centers, it said. Templars brings to the deal a client roster including Tavistock Investment and Multrees, Vested said in announcing the acquisition.

“We’ve been looking for the right opportunity to establish an office in London, and acquiring Templars was a natural next step,” said co-founder and COO Ishviene Arora. “Our two firms are passionate about the financial industry and share a zealous commitment to delivering value to clients, and we’re excited to seize the opportunities this combination will create for us and for our clients.”

Since its inception in 2015, Vested has taken a number of growth-related steps including creating an investment fund and leading the creation of a global network of fintech PR agencies.
