NEW YORK - Furthering its push for gender parity in the C-suite, Weber Shandwick has partnered with SellersEaston Media to produce a video series showcasing top women executives – and how they got there.

Each installment of the series, called VoiceUp, will feature a one-to-one interview with a female executive who, over the course of roughly three minutes, will discuss pivotal moments of her career, with the aim of inspiring others to pursue their own professional goals, said Weber Shandwick president Gail Heimann.

“The videos are linked by the mission: to enlighten, support and inspire a next generation of leadership,” Heimann said. “Each piece of content documents an individual’s story – her vision, wisdom and character.

“The portfolio of content will be a powerful and enduring testament to the strength of women who are role models for us all,” she said.

Supporting a company’s recruiting and spotlighting initiatives such as pay equity and STEM education are among ways the videos could be used.

“A critical component of each engagement with a female executive is the strategic plan for socializing the content specific to the narratives she and her organization want to get out in the market,” she said.

With the project in the early stages, Heimann said she expects three to five pilot videos to roll out over the next few months. Subjects have yet to be selected, although a number of senior-level women have already expressed interest in participating, she said.
