HONG KONG — BCW has named new practice leadership following the exit of regional reputation, risk and crisis MD George Godsal in late 2019.

The firm confirmed that senior director Adam Wyldeck (pictured) has taken on Godsal's duties in Hong Kong. Like BCW regional president Matt Stafford, Wyldeck hails from a background in Australian politics, serving as head of policy and strategy for the deputy leader of the National Party before joining BCW at the start of 2018.

Godsal, meanwhile, left the agency after more than two years in Asia, during which he also led the Hong Kong office. He shifted to a regional role last year, with Stafford adding oversight of Hong Kong.

"I’ve spent the majority of my career within WPP companies, living and working across three continents, and this has given me incredible exposure to an ever-changing global communications landscape, for which I’m grateful," said Godsal. "Now is a positive time for me to be moving on, and I’m excited about the opportunities I’m currently considering."

Before moving to Hong Kong, Godsal spent almost four years leading Burson-Marsteller's EMEA corporate and crisis practice from London. He has also held senior roles with MSL London and H+K Strategies in East Africa.
