LONDON — European business strategy, communications and public affairs consultancy Boldt has appointed Conor Griffin as a partner in London to lead the international expansion of its healthcare business.

Griffin joins after four years at Bristol Myers Squibb, latterly as international policy communications lead. He has previously worked in senior roles at Roche, Novo Nordisk and as a healthcare lead at agencies including Hume Brophy and Weber Shandwick.

Boldt already works with several large healthcare clients and managing partner Jeremy Galbraith said the firm was seeing growing demand for senior-led advice, given a rising tide of EU legislation, and a need to engage the biopharma sector more closely with patients and other stakeholders.

“Conor is a brilliant addition to our team because of his extensive specialism across healthcare policy, advocacy and communications, and his innate understanding of how biopharma companies can best use consultancies to tackle their complex strategic communications challenges,” said Galbraith.

Griffin, who will work alongside joins existing UK partners Jon Rhodes and Steve Earl in the London office, added: “Boldt’s depth of policy and communications expertise in Brussels and London, and business model that enables senior people to work at the coal face with clients, is a compelling mix both for me and for the health sector.”
