LONDON — British soft drinks company Britvic has refreshed its PR agency bench, confirming Tin Man as brand PR agency for its J2O brand and awarding its first ever consumer press office retainer to Cirkle.

Following a competitive pitch process which began in April, Tin Man will deliver a creative, insight-led PR and social campaign for J2O Spritz during the peak summer season.

Cirkle will deliver a six-figure consumer press office remit alongside the trade service it already operates across seven of Britvic’s consumer brands.

The two new agencies join long-term agency partners Red Consultancy – retained on the Robinsons, Purdey’s, Aqua Libra and Fruit Shoot brands – and Splendid Communications, which is the retained agency for The London Essence Company, Monte Rosso and Thomas & Evans No.1.

Trade and corporate PR services were not reviewed as part of the pitch process. Britvic acting head of brand PR Davnet Doran said: “We have incredible iconic and innovative brands and we are very happy to have the best selection of consumer agency partners support us with strategic, smart and impactful stand-out brand campaigns and always on press office.”

Cirkle MD Ruth Kieran added: “We’re proud to be working alongside such a strong roster of agencies as we support Britvic and its iconic brand portfolio.”

Tin Man’s first integrated “Mocktail Madness” campaign for J2O Spritz (pictured) includes a series of short films for the brand’s social channels, supported with paid and influencer activity, that compars over-the-top mocktails to the simplicity of a J2O Spritz.

The content led campaign will be supported with a media relations programme looking at food and drink trends. Agency founder Mandy Sharp described the campaign as “contemporary, cheeky and irreverent.”
