DUBAI — Brunswick Group has announced the promotions of Jeehan Dahman Balfaqaih and Rupert Young in its Gulf office. Balfaqaih has been named head of the Dubai office, while Young takes on the newly created roll of senior partner.

Rupert will focus on connecting and integrating Brunswick's global network, ensuring we continue to offer regional clients the very highest standards of corporate communications advice, including cross boarder research and the latest thinking and best practice,"
said Rob Pinker, chief operating officer and head of EMEA, Brunswick Group.

Balfaqaih joined the firm in 2007 and has been an integral part in its growth in the region. 
Her focus is on corporate positioning and reputation management. She advises local government and semi-government entities, and private and public regional and international companies on the communications of financial and non-financial projects.

Prior to this, Balfaqaih served as head of corporate communications at Rasmala Investments for over five years. There, she managed all communications activities for the bank and its asset management, private equity, real estate investments, brokerage and Islamic financial serves subsidiaries across the Gulf and Levant regions.

Meanwhile, Young joined Brunswick's London office in 1997 and relocated to Dubai over a decade ago to establish and lead the development of the firm's presence in the region. He advises senior management of government and related entities, multinationals and private listed companies on daily communications including corporate positioning, financial reporting, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions. Prior to Brunswick, Young was an executive at Ludgate Communications for three years. 

Brunswick's Gulf team consists of approximately 60 consultants and support staff based in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Brunswick Group has over 1,000 employees across 24 offices in 13 countries.
