LONDON — Finn Partners’ European consumer team won a competitive pitch to deliver PR consultancy on a retained basis for Berry Bros. & Rudd Spirits, including No. 3 London Dry Gin, The King’s Ginger and Hine Cognac. The team will launch strategic projects and brand partnerships across the UK and key global markets, as well as ongoing media relations and seasonal activity. The UK team will also co-ordinate PR activity in the US, Italian and German markets. This is in addition to the existing Berry Bros. & Rudd fine wine brief, which has been retained by Finn Partners since 2021.

LONDON — Singapore Tourism Board has appointed One Green Bean as its PR and social media agency in the UK, following an open request for proposal. The remit will see One Green Bean lead communications strategy and plan for both UK leisure and meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) audiences. The multi-year contract includes integrated creative campaigning, broadcast and brand partnerships, and media and influencer hosting.

LONDON — Yachting company Fraser Yachts (pictured) has appointed independent PR, social and digital agency The PHA Group to deliver social media management services. The agency will lead social strategy and delivery, with the aim of achieving further brand awareness, maintaining strong website traffic and promoting Fraser Yachts’ services.

LONDON — Avalara, a provider of tax compliance automation software, has chosen B2B comms agency Fight or Flight as its PR agency of record in the US following a competitive pitch. The agency has represented Avalara’s PR program in the UK since July 2021 and is taking on an extended remit, including supporting Avalara’s PR strategy, creative, and proactive media relations across North America and Europe. Avalara is the latest in a string of Fight or Flight wins in North America.

The appointment follows Missive handling Prolific’s Series A funding announcement, securing top tier international coverage.

LONDON — The Royal Town Planning Institute has announced that it has selected Grayling to lead its campaign to battle misinformation around planners and their role in the planning system. The RTPI put out its campaign RFP following a member survey that pointed to a worrying increase in planners being negatively impacted – and in some cases personally targeted – as a result of planning misinformation online.

LONDON — My Expert Midwife (MEM) has re-hired The Fourth Angel (TFA) to manage consumer, corporate and trade communications. MEM specialises in providing advice, e-learning, tips, and a range of products to support women and babies from conception to newborn and beyond. After hiring The Fourth Angel for a six-month project in 2019, My Expert Midwife has now briefed the agency to provide ongoing support for the brand and its products.

LONDON — The Fourth Angel has also brokered a deal to launch former Blur bass player Alex James’ first English sparkling wine under his ‘Britpop’ label with Laithwaites, the UK’s leading direct-to-home drinks retailer. James, who is also a cheese maker, is extending his Britpop range from cider to other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The sparkling wine is made by the Furleigh Estate in Dorset.

MANCHESTER — PR Agency One has been selected by UK haircare brand Mark Hill Hair as its first B2B and corporate communications agency. The brand, founded by celebrity hairdresser Mark Hill, has a product range including hair care, hair accessories and electrical hair products. PR Agency One will create and implement a communications strategy including out-of-home advertising, social media, display marketing, campaigns, brand partnerships and media relations.

LONDON — Vertical farming skincare brand Baz & Co – founded by James Dashwood Chase, a farmer who also co-founded the Chase Distillery – has hired Red Lion to launch the latest addition to its all-natural range, a deodorant. Red Lion will implement a press office and social campaign to support the launch, featuring the product’s vertically-farmed ingredients of basil, witch hazel and vetiver.

GLASGOW — Perceptive Communicators, which specialises in the technology, built environment and science sectors, has been appointed by The Clarus Networks Group – an authorised reseller of Elon Musk’s SpaceX Starlink system – to deliver public relations support. BIRMINGHAM, UK — Co-op Funeralcare, the UK’s largest funeral provider, has appointed WPR to support its in-house PR team with the delivery of regional PR activity. WPR will be providing support across Co-op’s estate of 800 funeral homes, identifying and developing PR stories to increase brand awareness and visibility, as well as tailoring PR campaigns for regional promotion.
