LONDON — Food and drink specialist agency Richmond & Towers has been appointed by two more whisky makers. The employee-owned PR and social agency will provide UK and global communications outreach for a series of forthcoming launches from The English Distillery’s Norfolk distillery, as well as Piccadily Distilleries, maker of the Indri Single Malt Indian Whisky (pictured), which has engaged R&T to help the company build a following among trade and consumer stakeholders in the UK. R&T’s current roster of drinks clients includes Whyte and Mackay (maker of The Dalmore, Fettercairn, Jura and Tamnavulin), as well as Havana Club rum, Altos tequila, St Petroni vermouth, Brooklyn Brewery and Westons Cider.

LONDON – Mixer-drinks brand Fever-Tree has appointed Sharp Relations on a UK consumer PR brief. The agency has been tasked with creating a campaign for Fever-Tree focused on seasonal drinking and gifting, as well as raising awareness of the brand’s product range and managing the press office. The account will be led by Sharp Relations senior account director Zoe Emmitt.

LONDON — Corporate and B2B agency Firstlight group has been appointed to handle global corporate communications for Chivas Brothers, the Pernod Ricard business behind Scotch whisky brands Chivas Regal, Ballantine’s, Royal Salute and The Glenlivet, after a competitive pitch. As well as responsibility for the corporate reputation of Chivas Brothers across the UK and beyond, Firstlight will focus on the sustainability and responsibility efforts of Chivas Brothers, Pernod Ricard UK and Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail. The agency’s client roster also includes eBay, Addison Lee, the Climate Crisis Advisory Group and Chicago Booth Business School.

LONDON — Integrated communications agency Tigerbond has been appointed to support charity fundraising platform JustGiving’s in-house PR team to raise its profile across the UK. The agency’s brief covers consumer and corporate PR campaigns, and the account will be led by client services director Rachel Taylor.

LONDON – Fintech scale-up Bud Financial has appointed B2B technology agency Babel PR as its retained agency to drive brand awareness and reputation within the UK and European banking, lending, and financial services audiences, and support the next phase of the company's growth. In June 2022, Bud raised an $80m Series B funding round led by TDR Capital. Babel will support Bud’s global PR and communications activity with thought leadership, media engagement and influencer relations.

LONDON — Family-owned hostel group Clink Hostels has appointed integrated communications agency Rooster to manage UK PR for the launch of its newest property, Clink i Lár, in central Dublin. The agency will also drive awareness of the hospitality brand in the UK, positioning it as a community-focused, stylish and affordable city accommodation option. Clink has five other properties in London and Amsterdam.
