LONDON — Ogilvy PR has promoted John Harding-Easson to head of influence for EMEA. He moves to the regional team after five years with Ogilvy PR’s Australia and New Zealand’s social and influence division, latterly as head of social.

LONDON — Creative services group M&C Saatchi has restructured its operations in London to bring five of its agencies together, leading to the resignation of M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment global CEO Steve Martin and UK CEO Jamie Wynne-Morgan after nearly two decades. The group’s PR agencies are not involved in the consolidation. The move follows senior leadership changes at the listed parent company earlier this year.

LONDON — Professor Mark Maslin (pictured) has joined Lansons, now part of Team Farner, as its first expert in residence to help the consultancy provide a “science-first” approach to sustainability strategies and communications. Maslin is professor of Earth System Science at University College London, where he leads the COP delegations, and is a commentator on climate and sustainability issues in the UK and overseas, as well as authoring 10 books and being a member of the Climate Crisis Advisory Group. At Lansons, he will work alongside sustainability lead, Sam Sharpe. This hire also marks the launch of Lansons’ Green Government Workshops, which prepares businesses ahead of next year’s UK general election.

LONDON — Strategic healthcare communications firm Madano has promoted four team leaders to the role of managing director: Katy Compton-Bishop, head of healthcare; Gareth Morrell, head of insights; Matthew Houlsby, head of net-zero transition; and Reghu Venkatesan, global head of healthcare. Madano, whose clients include First Light Fusion, Novo Nordisk, Pharming and Roche, said the move was part of its growth plans, which will include more senior hires next year.

LONDON — Independent health and wellbeing agency M+F Health has appointed Sarah Jones as a director. Jones was MD of Four Public Affairs (Health) from 2018 and has also worked at ICG and Bell Pottinger Public Affairs, providing counsel to UK and global life sciences and medtech companies, as well as patient groups. She joins M+F Health’s Leadership Team, reporting to owner and MD James Hollaway and taking the lead on key accounts including Novartis, Sanofi and Coloplast, as well as playing a new business development role. The appointment takes the M+F Health team to 30.

LONDON — Global media monitoring technology and consulting company Carma has made two leadership appointments. Sam Greenslade joins as global sector lead for FMCG, joining from business intelligence platform GWI, where he was VP, corporate enterprise. He was also head of sales for Cision, where he developed media intelligence programmes for brands including Coca-Cola, IKEA, and Unilever. Ro Pleasant, who was previously sales director at Briefcase News, has also joined Carma as a business development consultant, responsible for the development of insights services in the finance, government, media, and property sectors throughout Europe and America.

LONDON — Investment management firm Federated Hermes has appointed Antonia Powell as associate director of corporate communications. She was most recently head of media relations for Apex Group, a global financial services provider to alternative asset managers, where she set up and led the PR function, including the external communication of more than 40 acquisitions. She was previously a director in FTI Consulting’s financial services practice, having started her career in communications at H/Advisors Maitland. Before that, Antonia worked at a pre-acquisition consultancy and executive search provider for private equity funds across Europe and the US.

LONDON — The UK Government Communication Service has appointed Kate Taylor Tett as the new director of the “GREAT” Britain & Northern Ireland campaign, which promotes the UK as a destination for business, tourism and education in over 150 countries. Taylor Tett was previously deputy director of the campaign, leading its rebranding with the proposition ‘See Things Differently’. Before joining the Cabinet Office-led campaign in 2020, she was marketing director of department store chain House of Fraser and also spent 10 years at advertising agency AMV BBDO.
