LONDON — Emma Richards, who previously led Asia-Pacific communications at Microsoft, has relocated to London to become the tech giant's Western Europe communications director.

Richards was previously based in Singapore, where she worked at HP before joining Microsoft in 2021.

At Microsoft, Richards reports to Fiona Carney, who is chief marketing and operations officer for the company in Western Europe. Her responsibilities include driving corporate and employee communications for Microsoft across 12 Western European countries.

"It's great to be back in the Europe and working closely with an amazing team of comms professionals as we continue to drive best in class communications across Western European markets," Richards told PRovoke Media.

Microsoft is still searching for Richards' replacement in Asia-Pacific.

Richards previously spent more than a decade at WE Communications, in London and Hong Kong. She joined HP in 2018, initially heading PSG communications, before becoming Asia-Pacific communications lead in 2019.
