LONDON — Ethical Swedish watch and accessory brand TRIWA has appointed Manifest as its global creative agency of record, without a competitive pitch.

Manifest will act as TRIWA’s strategic brand communications partner across the UK, Nordics, North America, and Australia, with a broad brief that covers brand identity and strategy, press office and campaign creation and execution. The account will be led out of the B Corp agency’s Stockholm and Melbourne studios.

Stockholm-based TRIWA – an acronym of ‘transforming the industry of watches’ – was founded in 2007 and makes watches and accessories from sustainable materials, including a range made from recycled ocean plastic.

Manifest’s appointment comes as TRIWA closes a new investment round under CEO Ryan Looysen who recently joined the company after leadership roles at Lush Cosmetics, Happy Socks and BabyBjörn.

Looysen said: “As we look to bring our ethical ethos to new products such as belts, sunglasses, jewellery and more, we knew after the very first meeting with Manifest that it was the right agency to join us on this journey. With a presence in all our key markets and an 24-hour creative services model, in just a few short weeks the Manifest team has been instrumental in helping us navigate what the next era of TRIWA looks like.

“We have some amazing campaigns in the works and I’m very much looking forward to seeing what we achieve together by using business as a force for good.”

Manifest founder and CEO Alex Myers added: “One of our values at Manifest is ‘if you can’t find what you’re looking for, build it’. A truer statement couldn’t be said of TRIWA, as it has spent the last 15 years instigating a number of eco innovations in not just fashion but consumer products as a whole.

"From creating the first ever ocean plastic watch to making the first consumer products from deconstructed weapons and fossil-free steel, TRIWA is a prime example of what it means to properly show up for our planet.”
