LONDON—Former global communications senior director Alison Couper has joined online ratings and reviews provider Feefo in the newly-created role of VP, brand and communications.

The hire marks an expansion of the 'global feedback engine's' leadership team, and will see Couper report to CEO Andrew Mabbutt. The five-year-old company has grown rapidly since it launched as a review generator for companies in the financial services, retail and tourism sectors.

Couper, who spent a decade at and parent company Expedia, before departing last year, takes on oversight of Feefo's brand, amid continued global expansion of the UK-based company. "Our plans are for further accelerated growth this year," said Mabbutt.

"After five years of triple digit growth we want to bolster our global marketing team, and are delighted to have Alison Couper join us," added Mabbutt. "She brings with her great global knowledge and deep understanding of the online retail and review world."

Feefo's UK operation now numbers more than 70 staff, serving over 2,000 customers globally, including Charles Tyrwhitt, The White Company, Moss Bros, Hitachi and Expedia.
