NEW YORK — In a move designed to further growth, Golin has added three senior women to its global executive leadership board, bringing gender parity to the agency’s top management body.

The addition of executive director of global human resources Carrie Galli, New York president Dawn Langeland and global head of growth Carrie von der Sitt brings to 14 the number of leaders on the board, the focus of which is on global business operations and performance.

Galli, who joined Golin in 2016, will focus her efforts on Golin’s teams around the world, with a particular emphasis on motivating leaders to perform to their highest abilities. Named New York president last May,  Langeland is charged with helping to drive growth and superior work. And von der Sitt, promoted to global head of growth in December, will spearhead efforts to attract new business.

CEO Matt Neale said the board expansion “is indicative of the deep bench of talent” at Golin. “Everyone is there because of their talents,” he said.

The addition of three women, however, also is in the line with the firm’s multi-faceted effort to have gender parity across the organization, he said. “We have long stated that the ambition for all of our offices and our leadership to be representative of the profoundly diverse markets in which they operate. So I am pleased now that our top management board sees gender equity on it,” he said.

The other board members are chairman Fred Cook; vice chair Ellen Ryan Mardiks; global president and COO Gary Rudnick; CFO Brian Beck; global digital head Jeff Beringer; global healthcare president Neera Chaudhary; global corporate communications president Scott Farrell; global technology practice president Matt Lackie; chief inclusion & diversity officer Margenett Moore-Roberts; and Midwest region president Ginger Porter.

The board’s expansion comes on the heels of big changes in Golin leadership, which includes most notably Neale being named global CEO in December when the agency dismantled the shared leadership structure previously in place. He previously shared leadership responsibilities with Jon Hughes, who left the Interpublic firm at the time of the change, and Gary Rudnick, who become global president and COO.
