LONDON — Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K) has won a new mandate with Colgate Palmolive premium pet care brand, Hill’s Pet Nutrition.

Hill’s has briefed the agency to deliver PR, social media and influencer engagement aimed at its twin audiences of pet care professionals and pet owners. The new ‘Be more animal’ campaign will involve a series of activations to drive engagement and advocacy for the brand, whose products include food and prescription diets for cats and dogs.

The hire of H+K consolidates the brand’s agency support within the WPP marketing services group; it already works with media agency Wavemaker.

Hill’s previously worked with a number of different PR and social media agencies in the UK. The brand’s UK and Ireland digital marketing manager, Daniel Martin, said: “We were looking for one agency who could bring our PR, social and advocacy ambitions together to help transform our presence and communicate what we stand for. H+K stood out as the perfect partner.”

The account will be led by H+K’s consumer packaged goods managing director Kate Hopper, who added: “H+K is full of pet lovers, so the opportunity to work with Hill’s, the UK authority on pet nutrition, is a dream brief. Our integrated team are excited to get started.”
