LOS ANGELES — International communications group Hopscotch has appointed Laura Crompton as business director of a new outpost of Hopscotch USA, in Los Angeles.

Crompton rejoined Hopscotch Groupe in December 2021 as business director at Hopscotch Sopexa in London, having previously worked at Hopscotch Europe from 2012 to 2016. She started her career in LA, before setting up a business in Mexico.

From 2020 to 2021, Crompton led W Communications’ retail and consumer technology division and before that headed up Frank’s Manchester office as client services director.

As head of the LA operation, Laura Crompton will report to Dublin-based Hopscotch Europe CEO Patrick Frison-Roche. The group, which is headquartered in Paris and has 36 offices worldwide, already has Hopscotch Sopexa offices in New York, Montreal and Toronto, with an offer than includes brand launches campaign execution, press office, reputation management, experiential and events.

As well as growing a US client portfolio, Hopscotch USA works with the group’s European and African hubs in Dublin and Casablanca to deliver operational resources in the US for global clients and prospects.
