LONDON — British supermarket chain Iceland has hired Taylor Herring to handle social media across its channels, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

Working to a creative content, social media strategy and influencer partnerships brief, Taylor Herring is also working alongside the retailer to launch on TikTok this summer.

Taylor Herring – which has previously worked with Iceland Foods on a project basis, most notably on the Cannes Lions-winning palm oil-free campaign – has won a separate brief to handle social media for Iceland’s sister brand, The Food Warehouse.

Weber Shandwick continues to handle Iceland’s PR account. Taylor Herring will report to Iceland’s social and PR manager Zoe Marsh, and the account will be overseen by Taylor Herring associate director Sam Corry and managing partner James Herring.

Marsh said: “We were looking for a creative partner who could support us fully in delivering cut through content across our social channels. We’ve always been impressed with Taylor Herring’s standout creativity, and their proven track record for delivering real business results. Together, we have ambitious plans for the year ahead.’

Corry added: “Our aim is to build the presence and personality of brand across social platforms while popularising seasonal products and occasions. We’re already busy creating eye-catching, mouth-watering content for both paid and organic distribution.”

The agency has a long track record of working with food and drink clients, including Greggs, Just Eat, Subway, McVities, Pimm’s and Kellogg’s.
