LONDON — Reputation management firm Lansons has appointed former Santander deputy CEO Tony Prestedge to its advisory board.

Prestedge joins the consultancy after working with some of the UK’s largest financial institutions. Before joining Santander in 2020, his roles included deputy CEO at Nationwide, managing director of Barclays and chief operating officer of NHS England’s Test and Trace service during the Covid pandemic.

Since leaving Santander last year, Prestedge has been an advisor to financial services and technology organisations including digital management consultancy Capco, proptech company PriceHubble, financial advice app Financielle and open banking services provider BankiFi.

Lansons CEO Gordon Tempest-Hay said: “Tony is one of the great names in financial services. He has led giant enterprises and been at the forefront of technical revolution in the sector. These achievements, combined with his leading role in delivering the vaccine programme in the pandemic, make him someone that Lansons is proud to have on its team.”

The move follows Lansons’ recent acquisition by Farner International, as the European group’s first agency in the UK.

Prestedge said: “Lansons has a standout brand in the UK and US. The recent acquisition by Team Farner, coupled with an ambition to create a top three reputation and integrated communications agency in key European markets, means there is no better time to be joining the advisory board. I’m excited to work with Gordon and the team to execute on planned growth and expansion.”
