Lee Nugent will be honoured with the Individual Achievement SABRE Award on 27 September 2023, at the Asia-Pacific SABRE Awards in Singapore.

Nugent has led Archetype (formerly Text100) in Asia-Pacific since 2016, during which period the firm has won multiple Consultancy of the Year and Best Agency to Work For honours.

Nugent is also the former chair of the PRCA SEA, the forerunner to PRCA APAC, where he is currently a board member. He is member of the PRCA’s Global Advisory Board and sits on its Ethics Council. In 2019, he was named to PRovoke's Innovator 25 list and, in 2022, Nugent was made a Fellow of the PRCA (FPRCA) for his ‘outstanding contribution to global public relations’.

Prior to joining Text100 in 2016, Nugent was CEO of UK firm Nelson Bostock Group (NBG) in London. At NBG, he conceived and led the diversification of the business into three separate agency brands, co-founding Fever and Things Unlimited.

"Lee has that rare gift of being able to blend the pursuit of professional excellence and uncompromisingly high standards with being an empathetic, inclusive leader," said Amazon director of international consumer communications Bruce McLachlan, who has worked with Nugent for 20 years. "As intellectually sharp as he is — and Lee is one of the smartest people I’ve had the pleasure of working with — what drives his success is his ability to get the best out of the teams he leads.

"He invests his time in coaching and inspiring the talent in his agencies, and in turn he grows future leaders who want to work for him," added McLachlan. "It’s no accident that for every ‘Agency of the Year’ award he’s gathered, you’ll find a ‘Best Agency to Work For’ trophy alongside it, and I can guess which of the two categories means more to him."
