MINNEAPOLIS — Lippe Taylor has for the first time expanded beyond its New York home office, opening a Minneapolis operation aimed at growing regional business.

Emily Buchanan, who was most recently with Carmichael Lynch Relate, has been tapped to lead the firm as executive VP. Buchanan is responsible for driving new business, client oversight and developing talent.

She also will play a key role in managing and growing the agency’s Midwest-based clients, which currently account for more than 20% of Lippe Taylor’s annual revenue. She reports to newly appointed chief engagement officer Tracy Naden.

Before joining Lippe Taylor, Buchanan spent more than seven years at Carmichael Lynch Relate as executive VP and director of brand marketing. She previously served as MSL’s deputy director of global consumer marketing.

“The minute we met Emily, we knew she would be an incredible fit with our teams and clients here at Lippe Taylor. She’s a passionate and forward-thinking leader with a history of success bringing creative solutions to some of the world's most valued brands,” said Paul Dyer, who was named Lippe Taylor CEO and president in March as part of a larger leadership reshuffle.

“We also believe Emily is the right person to help us expand our footprint beyond New York. As a former Midwesterner myself, I know first-hand the depth of talent the Twin Cities have to offer, as well as the multitude of innovative companies that call the Midwest home."
