LONDON--InternetQ, the publicly-listed mobile marketing and entertainment company, has handed its global PR account to UK tech firm Red Lorry Yellow Lorry.

The agency is charged with developing awareness of InternetQ’s various offerings, including its consumer-facing platforms. In addition, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry will aim to address concerns about mobile marketing - over such areas as privacy, personalisation and security - and make a better case for the medium’s benefits.

InternetQ is one of the leading players in the mobile marketing space, through its Mobi-Dialogue software platform. The company has conducted interactive promotions, loyalty building programmes, and SMS campaigns for numerous mobile operators, along with media brands such as Axel Springer and Bauer Media.

In addition, InternetQ owns mobile music-sharing platform Akazoo, which it has used in campaigns for Vodafone and MTV. The digital download service now has more than one million registered users.

“One of the greatest challenges in mobile marketing is demonstrating a diverse offering,” said Ilona Panoussaki, marketing director at InternetQ. “We want to show that InternetQ stands out from the crowd and to educate the market about the variety of things we do; we particularly want to push our new social entertainment services platform Akazoo.”

Founded and based in Greece, InternetQ now has operations in 12 countries. The company will work primarily with Red Lorry Yellow Lorry’s London office; the independent firm also has offices in Los Angeles and Singapore.
