NEW YORK — MSL US has expanded its creative leadership team with the appointment of Roya Partovi as chief creative officer.

In the newly created role, Partovi will lead the agency’s creative center of excellence, with a focus on bolstering creative output and capabilities. Executive creative director Marc Levy assumes leadership of MSL’s creative strategy and “big ideas” team.

Partovi joins the Publicis agency with more than 20 years of experience leading creative services and teams at agencies and startups. Most recently, she was chief creative officer and DE&I chair at Merge, where she led a nearly 100-person creative team.

Before Merge, Partovi was chief creative officer for Aterian (formerly known as Mohawk Group), a Google Ventures-backed consumer product platform. Earlier in her career, she held creative rolls at Fallon, Saatchi & Saatchi and Publicis NY.

“We at MSL are lucky to partner with clients who want to do incredible, influential creative work that pops in culture, makes headlines, disrupts norms, solves problems, changes behavior, drives conversations and moves society and our commitment to pushing creative boundaries is endless. So is Roya’s,” said CEO Diana Littman. “She is a bold and open-minded creative leader who is filled with love and energy for her craft, for our discipline, for talent and for the future — I cannot wait to create together."
