SAN FRANCISCO — Paige Young, who most recently led Adobe’s Creative Cloud communications, has joined the software company Zendesk as VP of communications.

Young, who starts today, will be responsible for building Zendesk’s corporate reputation and developing an integrated communications strategy spanning earned media, content marketing, internal communications and social media. She succeeds Dushka Zapata, who has taken on a new position within the company as executive communications strategist.

“I believe our biggest opportunities are ahead of us. There is enormous potential to be telling and expanding our brand story and vision over time,” Young said. “Zendesk has been very innovative in terms of content marketing strategies, with highly engaged blog properties, an original podcast, and customer storytelling. We will continue to lean into the very interesting work they have done, while expanding and testing new mediums that will help uplevel our storytelling efforts to the right audiences.”

Young brings more than 20 years of in-house and agency experience to the role, most recently leading communications for all of Adobe’s Creative Cloud products. Previously, she served as executive VP and global client relationship manager at Edelman, leading communications and holistic global marketing campaigns for consumer and technology leaders such as Microsoft Store’s growing retail footprint. She has also served as global director of marketing and corporate communications for Egencia at Expedia and managed corporate and consumer PR efforts for clients such as Microsoft at Weber Shandwick.
