BERLIN — Piabo, the German PR agency that specialises in digital and new technology clients, has launched a new greentech and sustainability practice and added three clients in the areas of sustainable leadership, urban transformation and e-mobility.

The first new account is The BMW Foundation’s Respond five-month accelerator programme, which supports start-ups in scaling innovative approaches and new technologies to help solve complex global problems, or whose business models contribute to the UN sustainable development goals.

Piabo's second new client is Green City Solutions, which has created the CityTree air filter – which combined natural moss to filter fine particles with Internet of Things technology – for urban spaces. Piabo will support the greentech company at the launch of the CityTree in Berlin, and its planned rollout in Dresden and London.

Finally, the agency will be promoting the need for a Europe-wide electric vehicle charging infrastructure, working with Compleo, a German manufacturer of charging points, to accelerate the mobility revolution.

The new practice is run by Andreas Krönke (pictured, left) and Lara Schermer (centre), reporting to Piabo CEO Tilo Bonow (right).

Krönke said: “The best recipe for success for long-term innovations is when ecological and social progress meets entrepreneurial pioneering spirit. In our new Greentech & Sustainability Practice therefore, we are committed to sustainable business models that contribute to overall economic development. We are pleased to be able to make a significant contribution to such important projects.”
