LONDON — Omnicom’s public affairs firm Portland is restructuring, integrating its UK and international operations into one P&L.

The firm’s European offices in Brussels, Paris and Berlin – formerly sister firm Gplus, which completed its merger into Portland in June this year – are still reporting separately, but will join the new structure next year.

Portland’s UK managing director, Sam Ingleby (pictured), who has been responsible for Portland’s corporate, disputes, health, and global impact teams, is promoted to group MD and will run a unified management board of 11 partners. Portland now has around 300 staff across all its offices, including Washington DC, Doha, Nairobi and Singapore.

There are a number of senior departures as a result of the move, all resignations. These include partner Anthony Simon, Middle East general manager Justin Kerr-Stevens, Doha-based partner Patrick Forbes, and Asia general manager Jonathan McClory. Anneka Munsch, in her role of partner for the international network, will now oversee the Middle East office.

In London, Portland will be moving to new offices at Bankside to join Omnicom’s other agencies Ketchum, Porter Novelli and FleishmanHillard in the next couple of months to allow great collaboration with other group agencies.

Portland CEO Mark Flanagan, who stepped up from MD when founder Tim Allan left the firm in November last year, told PRovoke Media: “We want everyone in the business, in any team, or any location, to work towards one target. We have a ‘clients first’ strategy this year and we want clients to have seamless and easy access to all our capabilities.”

Last month Omnicom merged its Ketchum and Porter Novelli operations in Brussels, following consolidation of its agency brands into OPRG in several markets across the world, including four other European countries in 2017.
