LONDON — Rated People, the UK’s online marketplace connecting homeowners with local tradespeople, has appointed Threepipe as its retained PR agency after a competitive pitch.

The agency will provide reactive and proactive press office support, with the aim of driving homeowners to the Rated People website and app, and supporting the company’s outreach to tradespeople.

Threepipe will work with Rated People’s other marketing agencies to build integrated campaigns throughout the year.

Rated People’s head of marketing, Abi Walmsley, said: “We were looking to bring on board an agency that would be very hands-on and feel like an extension of our own internal teams and Threepipe ticked that box and more. It’s been a busy year thanks to our homes and gardens becoming more important than ever, and we’re keen to support homeowners as much as possible as they look to turn their plans into reality and get more enjoyment from their spaces.”

Homeowners post one million jobs a year on Rated People, which are picked up by over 50,000 tradespeople specialising in more than 200 skills. Once work is complete, homeowners leave a rating and review.
