SINGAPORE — Rimmi Harindran has joined Kellogg as senior director for corporate affairs across Asia, the Middle East and Africa (AMEA), after almost 12 years with Merck Group.

Harindran was most recently global head of comms for Merck's cardiology, metabolism and endocrinology unit, and regional comms head for Asia-Pacific, overseeing 12 countries. Her experience with the company also includes senior comms roles in Germany and India, while she was also the co-founder and project lead of Merck’s Women in Leadership (WIL) Asia Council leading the diversity and inclusion agenda for the organisation.

At Kellogg, she takes on the position previously held by Shweta Shukla, who returned to Unilever last year. Harindran reports to Kellogg AMEA president Shumit Kapoor.

Harindran's remit at Kellogg includes communications, ESG, government and industry
relations for AMEA. She is also part of the regional leadership team and the global corporate affairs leadership team that is headed by Kris Bahner.

Harindran has previously worked with Monsanto (now Bayer), The Heroes Project (Richard Gere’s foundation for HIV/AIDS awareness funded by the Gates Foundation), and PR agencies including Genesis Burson–Marsteller. She is also the co-lead of the Singapore Chapter of the Asia Pacific Association of Communications Directors (APACD).
