SINGAPORE — Sandpiper Communications has promoted Sarada Chellam and Elizabeth Chu to lead its Singapore office, in the roles of general manager and deputy GM, respectively.

Both Chellam and Chu will continue to work closely with Kelly Johnston, Sandpiper's chief operating officer who is also based in Singapore, and Hong Kong-based CEO Emma Smith.

Chellam joined Sandpiper as a director in 2018 from Ketchum Singapore where she was SVP. Chu, meanwhile, has been with Sandpiper in Singapore for close to three years, after previously setting up the firm's operations in China.

"It’s been a privilege to work alongside Sarada and Elizabeth as we have expanded in Singapore," said Johnston. "They are both talented consultants who lead from the front, are strong ambassadors for our culture and values, and have built trusted partnerships with clients. With our Singapore team doubling in size over the past year, their appointments will help drive forward our continued growth and success."

The promotions of Chellam and Chu come after Sandpiper named Natalie Siu as Hong Kong GM in October of last year. Also in Hong Kong, Ben Evetts has separately left the firm after two years to become head of content and thought leadership marketing at long-term Sandpiper client Cigna International, reporting to head of brand and thought leadership Patrick Rona.
